Clafskin Suede Grey - Natural Silk Gunmetal
Made in France
During the Normandy landings of the Second World War, the American GIs wore the M-1943 field jacket. This jacket was functional but still comfortable, featuring four front pockets and adjustable wrist and waist. Quickly after the war, many countries, particularly the NATO countries and France, copied the American standards. The M-1943 was then improved with the M-1953 and the M-1965 designs and then widely used during the Vietnam War. It helped soldiers to stay warm from the cool weather that came after the monsoon rains seasons.
Originally introduced in olive green, the “M65” was then adapted to the various fields the troops have been fighting on using woodland camouflage, desert camouflage, black or navy blue. It largely inspired the current French infantry field uniform. And now Noir Basic designs a chic and unique version of this combat jacket.
